Welcome to our Featured Project page, where we proudly present a luxurious and sophisticated interior design created by Lorna and her talented design team in Potomac, MD. This stunning study offers a tranquil retreat, perfect for both relaxation and creativity.

Tucked beyond the library, this thoughtfully designed space blends regal blues with airy neutrals, evoking the charm of Spanish and Italian country homes. Lorna and her team wanted to create an atmosphere of grandeur, which is beautifully captured through the room’s arched windows, framed in mocha casement and dressed with luxurious parchment Italian draperies. The hand-painted walls, finished in rich textures, add a further layer of elegance and sophistication.

At the heart of the study, the team designed a custom sofa paired with a meticulously hand-knotted rug, surrounded by plush royal blue lounge chairs to enhance the room’s inviting ambiance. Floating above, a lightly gilded pendant casts a warm, golden glow over the seating area, creating a perfect balance between luxury and comfort.

To add a unique element, Lorna chose to line the bookshelves with a luxurious metallic-linen wallcovering sourced from Europe, providing a sense of opulence. Two vintage Sgabello chairs, inspired by 16th-century Venetian design, introduce a regal touch, while the built-in desk, featuring original artwork and a custom bulletin board, offers functionality without sacrificing style.

The design team carefully curated each detail, from the striking original paintings that encourage daydreaming and escape, to the handcrafted furnishings that anchor the room. Lorna and her team were committed to ensuring that the space combined aesthetic appeal with practical elements, making it a study that is not only beautiful but also highly functional.
