The homeowner, who grew up in Texas and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, desired a home infused with Mediterranean architectural and design influences.
Our design team, led by Lorna, focused on creating a harmonious environment that balances aesthetics and functionality. The interior features a refined color palette of warm neutrals, punctuated by teal, coral, and small pops of red. These hues, combined with warm wood tones, provide a serene backdrop for carefully curated furnishings and decor. Architecturally, Lorna designed arched wood doors with massive knockers, an electronic entry gate, wrought iron stair railings, and balconies to evoke the sought-after Mediterranean style.
Upon entering this Chevy Chase residence, guests are welcomed by an inviting foyer that flows seamlessly into an elegant dining room. Above the dining table hangs a magnificent chandelier, serving as the room's focal point. Dining chairs with similar curvature but differing styles add visual interest around the table. The living room features plush seating and custom accents, perfect for relaxation and entertaining. Expansive glass doors lead to a beautifully landscaped patio, emphasizing the connection to outdoor spaces ideal for gatherings.
The heart of the home is the gourmet kitchen, equipped with high-end appliances, sleek cabinetry, and stunning quartz countertops. Designed for both style and practicality, this kitchen is perfect for culinary enthusiasts and cozy family gatherings. Each bedroom is a personal sanctuary, featuring luxurious bedding and thoughtfully selected decor to promote relaxation. The primary suite includes an ensuite bathroom with modern fixtures and spa-like finishes, providing a tranquil retreat at the end of the day.
